不要一概而论
There is a forest by the hill.
小山的脚下有一片森林。
Lots of animals live in it.
许多动物生活在里面。
There is a river in the forest.
森林里还有一条河。
One day, Mr. Cat is ill, his friend bird and duck are going to see him.
有一天，猫先生病了，他的朋友小鸟和小鸭子要去看他。
Mr. Cat’s house is on the other side of the river.
猫先生的家在河的另一边。
The bird and the duck are on the way to Mr. Cat’s house, they must cross the river.
小鸟和小鸭子正在去往猫先生家的路上，他们必须得过河。
When the get to the bank, the bird says to the duck: “We can fly across the river.”
当他们到达岸边时，小鸟对小鸭子说:
“我们可以飞过这条河。”
The duck says: “No. We must swim across the river.”
小鸭子说:“不，我们得游过这条河。”
So they begin to quarrel.
于是，他们就吵了起来。
They can’t agree with each other.
他们都说服不了对方。
Just then, an old dog come up to them and says:
正在这时，一只老犬走过来，对他们说:
“You are both right. Of course birds can fly,
“你们两个都是对的。鸟儿当然会飞了，
and ducks are good at swimming.
鸭子们肯定擅长游泳。
Don’t judge things only by your own experience.
不要仅凭自己的经验来判断事情。
Don’t treat different matters as the same!”
